Patrick, a multi-talented producer, songwriter and artist, was born and raised in Minneapolis. Patrick, also known as "P", started playing the drums at age 14 and worked for Morris Day's "Greenhouse Productions". He was brought on as a songwriter, producer. He wrote the songs "Deeper" and "My Special", which were featured on Day's CD "Guaranteed." Patrick also performed background vocals and was a programmer on the project. It was here that he started to develop his own style of music: a blend of "rhythm and blues" and his own funky-edged sensuality.
With a convincingly rich baritone voice, Patrick has embarked on a unique journey. His journey takes you from the influences of John Lee Hooker, past the smooth funk of Sly Stone, to the rawness of the streets today". I want each of my songs to be an entity unto itself. I want to be a chameleon, so to speak. I want to do music that's part of my life's experience that people can relate to. I want to give the people who buy my music the best I've got to give."
Patrick's CD is a testament to his life's journey. With a little help from some of his friends; Drummer Kirk Johnson (Prince), Bassists Kevin Walker (Patti Labelle), Paul Froley (D'Angelo),Greg Radford (D' Formula), Guitarists Ron Drayton (Family Stand), Mike Herring (Dru Hill), Vocalist Beverly Crosby (Stuff), Larry G Graham ,Graham Central Station., Pam Washington (Sound Of Blackness) and Pebbles Thomas; he has created an old but exciting new sound that should reach all formats. At a time when music has lost some of its fine musicianship and creativity, we are lucky to be able to find such a rich quality sound from one of the new musical talents of our time. It won't be long before the world at large is "DOWN WITH P."
